Everyone have to work togerther. Love your instrument is the most important.

Mr Wong once said that if you want to play loud and you force yourself even more, there will be no increase in volume. Furthermore, you will get softer and will lose lots of stamina.

To play LOUD!. Try screaming. Remember the feeling when you're screaming, there should be a lot of support on your stomach there. It will feel like when you are shitting. the "GEK" feeling. Always remember to relax!( i know relaxing is difficult)

Playing your trombone is exactly the same as when you are talking, singing, screaming, shouting etc etc etc.

A common prob that all juniors face is to play high notes, it has to do with how fast your air is. Your stream of air must be DIRECT and FAST, with pressure(meaning "gek") at ur stomach

And as for low notes, the air must still be direct. just imagine that you are trying to blow something close to ur mouth; u are aimingg close. and u use lesser air.( But i use more air -.-") Dont use more air ah!!

Hello. End of August is coming. Can hold a note for 20 second already? i suppose you all can, cause the mr sukit taught you how to breathe. If you still canot hold for 20second faster go practice, the CORRECT way! If not get ready to run.
i think YaoDong tone got improve. The rest like no difference from last time.

Mr wong said a few things last practice:
- All exercise got a PURPOSE. If you don't know the purpose and just play then you are wasting your time.
- And it is not what the exercise is, is the way you do it.
- And most importantly! The first thing you do before you play is to TAKE IN FULL BREATH! i don't know how many times we have heard it, but like nobody is doing it.

So everyone must push yourself. Limit can be raised. Next time sectionals will have warm up.(i hope so).

Chamber music is coming. Prepare well.
Remember what mr sukit told us. He's complaining that we are too soft. So play louder la.
Be serious during band. And YuenSian sit Straighter!! Don't hunch. Lift your trombone 90degree.

Our section is very messy still.

The section is very messy now.

MiaoTing : miaoting, you can play de but you just need to play louder. The next SYF depend on you and sec1 le.

Leona : Leona, you must stop squeezing and just relax your mouth. your tone needs to be improved a lot.

Amanda : Must support the section.

Yuen Sian : You must start working hard! don't slack already. improved on your tone also. don't squeeze also! is no use squeezing, waste your effort only. and i will sit beside you everytime during combine, and make sure i can hear you.

Yao Dong (don't know you will see this anot) : anyway. You can play very good de. you must try to play louder, amanda will sit beside you to pressurise you! must love your instument and don't ever think quitting. i'll kill you! roar!


This is for everyone:
By the end of this month, august, EVERYONE must be able to hold your notes for at least 20 seconds. MUST! then all your tone must be very good! i don't want to hear anymore focing sound from anyone. Everyone must play be able to play loud, but must be nice. No blasting and forcing.
If got anyone cannot hold their notes for 20 seconds, you will run. Short of 1 second run 1 round. 5 seconds run 5 rounds. around the hall. this applies to everyone, including SL.
Don't think i write all this for fun. i expect an improvement from everyone. Always strive to be the best.
And when playing, everyone listen to me. follow the conductor. Play together as a section.


Everyone will be changing their instrument and i'm still thinking who to use what instrument. As for miaoting and Leona, you all will get a piece, maybe 1 or 2 piece. and then me and alamanda will give you marks. The one that score higher use the NEWly bought trombone. The marking scheme will be : tone, expressiveness, dynamics, and i forgot. This so called competition is to ensure fairness. Judges decision would be final. LOL.

PLEASE tag at the tagboard if you have read the above. i want everyone's attendance.
